Supporting the Hervey Bay, Maryborough and Fraser Coast community

The success of Reuse and Recycle is made possible by the support of the Hervey Bay and Maryborough communities. As a community-based organisation, we’re passionate about giving back to local individuals and community groups. We’re involved in a number community initiatives, including employment opportunities for disadvantaged job seekers and community funding initiatives for local groups.

Employment Opportunities

At Reuse and Recycle, we offer employment opportunities to disadvantaged job seekers through partnerships with job network providers including Community Solutions and Max Employment. To date over 90% of our staff have successfully gained employment after participating in one of our many programs. We’ve been instrumental in helping a number of job seekers improve their work readiness skills and abilities, allowing them to submit stronger and more appealing job applications.

Community funding initiatives

We’re dedicated to providing financial support in order to grow community groups with limited access to fundraising. We support community groups through grants, monetary and goods donations and labour services. We also offer the opportunity of running BBQs and sausage sizzles on each of the six market shop days we’re open, providing an exciting opportunity to gain some much-needed funding.
